DH looking for WORK!

I am here to ask a favor of you ladies, My husband has been out of work and is finding it difficult to even get an interview. His experience and qualifications are out of this world so I am assuming it is due to lack of work in his field. He is starting to fall into depression i think.. so i writting here what he does and what hes looking for in hopes that one or some of you ladies may have open opportunities in the companies you work for and can foward us along some info?

He is looking for a position, preferably an IT manager position, and preferably in New Media/Internet.

If anyone can help me please forum mail me.

go to newsday.com and do a complete keyword search in their classifieds, and there is also monster.com
I think it is that for job searching too
and yahoo

its tough especially when unemployment is so HARD!!!! i just called ALBANY!! because we can never get through on the 800 number they give you, and the lady was SOO nasty to me, she told me if i dont have any money maybe i should end the call and save on the phone bill

Suzanne, sorry to hear about your husband. My Dad has been out of work in the IT field since last March (laid off from Cablevision) and has been having a horrible time as well. I think it is the IT field honestly, hopefully soon things will pick up or else he will have to try a totally new field.

So sorry for your DH, I hope he finds something soon. Has he tried any headhunters? I used to be an admin asst for a head hunter that only placed IT people. I know the market is crummy, but it's worth a shot. The name is Atlantis Partners, in midtown. Try an internet search and have him call them.

I can't believe she said that to you, I would definitely complain!

Get out!!! I hate that stupid company...for how they treated their employees and even their Cablevision subscribers.

I wonder if my Dad knew Frank, he was a system analyst, he only started Jan of 2001 and wasn't there long, that was when they started their overhiring I think....

Suzanne ... I hope he finds work soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and keep my eyes open if anything opens up. We are at a hiring freeze right now and are only posting internally! But we are not a media/internet type company!
