DH Talks in his sleep...

Hey Ladies,

DH Sometimes talks in his sleep and when he does I always talk to him and go along with it just to see what he says. I've always thought this was funny until a couple of nights ago while we were sleeping during the night and he sat up in bed and was taking my socks off! LOL ... It was so weird because I thought he was playing around cuz he likes to do that to me. He knows that I get nasty when someone tries to wake me up while I am falling asleep. So I was like 'what the F*** are you doing man i'm trying to sleep, cut that sh** out'. Then I realized that he looked liked he was in a trance because he was sleeping. He was mumbling something but I don't recall what.

It was just freaky cuz he was physically sitting up removing my socks yet he was unaware of what he was doing. And the best part is that after I would put them back on he would take them off again! LOL ...Of course the next day he had no memory of what had happened. Should I be concerned. I mean what if this snowballs into him sleepwalking...

sort of sounds like he's heading that way.

Not that it's a bad thing.. just takes some getting used to.

I sleep eat...it's really annoying especially when I'm on a diet. I thought I was losing my mind until I started researching it and it is pretty common. I mean, I wouldnt just get up and have a cookie...I would get up and have cheese and crackers...heat up left overs...and more. I lived alone at the time and didn't know where the hell my food was going because I couldnt remember eating!!

And I wondered why I couldnt lose weight!!

I mean, I wouldnt just get up and have a cookie...I would get up and have cheese and crackers...heat up left overs...and more. Oh no don't get me wrong. It is funny but freaky. I told my MIL last night and she was cracking up.

Wow i've never heard of sleep eating. That's funny how you actually heat up left overs. Do you shut things off though too?

Dh saw a segment on tv about that & was facinated. The woman they profiled threw out left overs so she wouldn't have anything to eat in the middle of the night, but then one mornignshe realized she had made pasta in her sleep.

Bedda, that's what would worry me, turing off the stove, etc.

lol ... maybe he just REALLY hates your socks??!?

That is a very scary thought, I mean God forbid you don't turn it off. And it's not like you are even aware of what you are doing.

Well he's always said 'why do you sleep with socks on'. i'm very neurotic, i hate sleeping with no socks on. I just don't know what it is. I can walk around the house with no socks on but I can't sleep unless I have socks on...even in the summer.....LOL

I go through this all the time! Usually it's just talking but, one night I woke up in a headlock. He was dreaming of apprehending one of his fugatives. Another night I woke up and he was trying to take my shirt off. I thought he was getting a little 'frisky' but then he mumbled something about bugs crawling on me!!

This has been one of the funniest threads i have read!!!! I can't complain or tell any stories about FH doing things in his sleep...that's my department! He ususally tells me about the strange things i've done in my sleep! Too funny!

It was even funnier when it happened...I was like 'what the .....' Sometimes I think about it and just laugh out loud and DH is like 'are you thinking about the sock story again'....

When I first told him about it, he thought I was making it all up. I was like 'yeah ok like this is something I would want to just make up out of the blue'.

Yes I have been turning things off, luckilly I havent used the oven yet.
But I'm using knives to cut up cheese to have with crackers...and to make sandwiches...and stuff like that.

A few times I woke up in the morning with crumbs all over my bed! I was laying in a sea of ritz crackers! It was crazy! I was living alone so I couldnt blame anyone but me!

I have little feasts at night. Especially when I diet - then the sleep eating gets bad. I finally told DH that if I get up and he sees me heading for the kitchen to wake me up!!


I've also woken up with melted hersheys kisses all over my bed...and in my hair. Ew. Seems I like to eat gum too - and then put it in MY HAIR!!

Maybe he's just a space cadet...

We went to a christening party on Sunday and before we left I was like 'I won't bother taking off my shoes tonight I'll just wait for you to do it in your sleep'.

Taking off your socks was sort of funny! I'd be scared too that he might start to sleep walk!

I am the one who talks in my sleep. It is usually just mumbling, DH says, but sometimes it is words. I think I even spoke Spanish once. DH doesn't usually talk in his sleep but the other night he sat up suddenly and mumbled something. It scared me so much! He never talks in his sleep. I asked him what he said and his reply was 'Psycho, da*n it'! Then he laid back down. I couldn't sleep for a bit after that!!!

when dh is stressed, this is what happens!!! he's talked about his desire for a spongebob surfboard b/c 'that would be cool.'
