Did any of you start planning before the ring? (and did you tell anyone?)

Did any of you start planning before you were officially engaged?

Did you have everything planned out in your head since you were 5? Did you and FH look at vendors etc before you were engaged?

If so, did you tell family/friends you were planning, or did you wait until it was official?

Just curious :)

We did. We actually booked our hall about 2 months before he popped the question. I knew we were getting engaged obviously.

We did the same thing. So much for being surprised lol.

were getting married in 9 months..everything is booked and payments have started AND I STILL HAVENT BEN OFFICALLY ASKED!!!

i got down on my knee..i dont need a ring..he wants to get me one..but i dont want it..our wedding bands will do..if he gets me one..after serious thought..i will turn it down..we need that money for the wedding..the wedding bands are to me..what signifies the commitment..not a big ol rock before hand

and i dont even want diamons..i want a black one

so were going from bf/gf to husband and wife..

I definatly knew we were getting engaged at some point. My fh asked me what i like and had me try on rings and omg I got so excited. So after that I started to look online for reception halls just to get an idea and that is when I found liweddings!!! I lurked on here for a good 3 weeks then I was engaged. But we didnt start really planning until 6 months after our engagement. It doesnt hurt to prepare.

Well, I remember FH and I made a guest list, but that was about 8 months before we got engaged. We just wanted to see what we were in for in terms of number of guests.
Right before we got engaged (I knew it was coming soon), I bought a bridal mag--but didn't tell him. That was the extent of my pre-engagement planning.

so you don't consider yourself engaged or fiance/fiancee?
