Just out of curiosity..did anyone ever cancel their dress order? If so, did you lose your deposit and were you still obligated to pay the remaining balance??? Thanks....

i was given a contract with my dress. On the contract it said that if you cancel the order AFTER the dress has been put into production then you will lose your deposit and if its already in production then yes you will still owe the balance. ...Rules may change from store to store so definitely read the fine print
Yeah i have my contract and unfortunately that is what it says. There is no way at this point I can change anything it's a done deal!

I was regretting mine too because it's VERY simple. No lace, no beads....NOTHING. I starting wishing I bought an all lace gown. But then I remembered how much I loved my dress. Everyone said I stood differently, looked more confortable and glowed. So I stopped looking at dresses. I am done. There is no way I am giving up all the money I already put down.
That is my issue too, it is so plain! nothing on it! my mother saw it and was like it is very nice but so plain! and I feel like she is right! Anyway she is coming with me on sunday to see other dresses I don't know what I am going to do here..
My mom was with me when I ordered it and LOVEd it. Now she says she wishes it has some beading on it. UUGGHHH Oh well. I am not wasting the money. I would rather put the money towards my mortgage

Are you unhappy with it, or is other peoples comments making you unhappy? I remember you posted before about cancelling a dress and then about how excite you were about your new one. The dress is beautiful!!!!!

i think your dress is gorgeous. Simple is CLASSIC. Perhaps you should try a Mantilla Veil with Lace? Get some amazing shoes with some bling? Chandalier earrings. See if you can attach a beautiful antique brooch on the dress?

yeah i think it is a combination of things...my mother and fmil doesn't like it really, my sister says 'do you like it' when I ask her so i think it is everyone in my head and then i start second guessing!

I had cancelled my dress at Kleinfelds, the dress was not in production yet. I did loose a part of my deposit, but it was worth it to get the dress that I really wanted. The advice that one of my friends gave me was to stop looking at dresses because there will always be something else that you want (and with me this is always the case, so I havn't looked since but I would love to wear five different style dresses that day)
Sometimes the salon can add lace and beadwork to your dress, ask the seamstress what she can do, you might be suprised. A friend of mine decided that she wanted a lace dress after hers was ordered, she took it to a seamstress and had it added on after. The dress was beautiful and exactly what she wanted. Good Luck!!!

I cancelled a dress order a few months ago. They did not refund my deposit, but I received store credit that I could use towards dresses for the bridal party.
Get out of here how did you do it? and what store was it? Did your receipt say differently?
i cancelled mine from bridal reflections in carle place. i explained that i really didnt think the dress was for me, after looking at it more and more, and i saw another one, more expensive, that i loved more,(from them also), and they let me transfer the deposit from the first to the second dress. talk to michelle in the store, shes the manager...

I did but it was 1 day after I ordered it. They gave me my deposit back and I didnt have to pay the balance.
