did anyone go to black forest for their cake?

I am using them - they have excellent cakes, but they ARE rude. I used to work there when I was young...
I can understand why you would think they are like that.....

How far in advance should you make your appt?
This is different than the bakery Riviera uses? Will it be an extra cost to go through them?

the Riviera uses Black Forest. They also use another bakery for the pastries etc., supposedly because it's cheaper but i don't know that.

we met with them last Saturday and our wedding is next weekend, so you have plenty of time. You don't have to meet with them, but I had no clue about fillings etc. Turns out everything we picked was included, so no upgrades. And they have great pics in their books.

We used them through the RH, the meeting was not what I expected, more of a business meeting... no tasting, etc. They had lots of pics to look through but I had brought my own picture... I basically just crossed my fingers - and I was more than happy with the result. Not only did the cake look gorgeous, it was DELICIOUS! I think I ate two pieces at the wedding and one more after we got home!
I'm actually thinking of getting cakes there for all my occasions!

My RH uses Black forest too..I am happy that everyone likes it. It is badthe one thing I am not stressing about it the cake...

got my e party cake from there it was good. Not really fond of the canoli...Any one try the raspberry.

The cookies and cream sounds interesting...

Thanks for the help. I doubt we'll want more than the basic stuff! Nice to know I still have some more time too!
