Did anyone 'over': budget for the wedding

Did anyone 'over': budget for the wedding

We set a budget but when I looked again at it last night some stuff we called correctly and are right on budget but I forgot that we maxed out on the # of guests so that we knew the max RH charge (can only hold 140 people so figured that # in although maybe only inviting 150 so will not get 140) and also put a high # for invites and favors- just so we would be forced to save that much

i guess the worst thing is we'll have a bit left over right?

anyone else do this just to force yourself to save and to be safe?

We actually came in under budget too, so far. We really worked hard to find deals and affordable prices and it has definately paid off. I was even able to upgrade my DJ package and get limos. I didn't think I would be able to afford them

I over-budgeted myself. I was a little off on a few things. Then my parents picked up a few things.

However I'll still over my initial budget cause of the little things I keep buying!!!

We've blown our budget already. Way, way over. We started out thinking one amount and then slowly it kept creeping up. I think we might have been a little unrealistic considering what we wanted. But the prices on everything lately are going through the roof so that might be a reason for going over the budget as well. The photo/video and the band killed our modest budget. I hope we can stick to our new, third revised budget. We better--I do not know if we can go over any more. Mind you, we only have about 100 guests coming.

I think if anyone asked advice - I'd tell them to OVER budget like $5K for the stuff you NEVER think about...........

We are over by 12,000. LOL. It really stinks. But I'm sure we will manage.
