Did anyone register yet?

I just got engaged on Fri but I already have family saying they are not getting us anything until we register!

So I ask...did anyone register yet? And if yes, how long did you wait after you got engaged?

Oh and we have a brand new apartment so we're in desperate need of things!! We weren't allowed to move in together until after the engagment

im not gonna register untill probably 7 months befor. i have that fear of discontinued items if i register too early
