I didn't, she didn't even ask me she just said she got her dress. And that was that!

i went with mine and she was so appreciative cause she knows how busy i am, originally one of my FSIL went with us, but just me and her went the day she found the dress she wanted.

I didn't, she went with FSIL and got it. she called to tell me what it looked like and what color it was. I was fine with that!

No, went alone...I never asked or volunteered to go with her. I saw the dress at her house the day she picked it up.

I didn't go shopping with her, I never even seen her dress, I just know what color it is. Don't drive yourself crazy, you're not obligated to go with her.

same thing - i just new it was green - she said it was sage...but i don't think it was. anyhoo...it was gorgeous! both mom were beautiful in their dresses!

I didn't. But she actually didn't buy a dress.

DH was very close with his grandmother who passed away not long before we met. My MIL had the dress that DH's grandmother wore for his Bar Mitzvah (sooooooooooooooo many years ago!) she took the material from that dress and had a dress made out of it. This way it was like a part of DH's grandmother was with us that day.

My mom, FMIL, and I are going in June. I am very close to both of them so we made time for it. My mom is flying down, FMIL is taking off of work - I couldnt imagine going w/o either of them. BUT if it doesnt mean that much to you then dont stress. I think your FMIL will understand. Good luck!
