I really haven't been gown shopping yet. I only went 2 times but I didn't go to look for gowns. Both times I was looking for an E-Party dress. So Anyway I was talking to FH about my wedding dress and what he thinks I will wear. I showed him a pic that kinda looks like the Maggie I tried on. And he kinda hated it! LOL So after much thought I showed him the pic of me in the dress and he loved it. Which is great but I know I still need to really look for a gown.
Here is my question.... Do you think its bad if I show FH the gowns I'm trying on and have him help me pick it? I go to him for everything so its weird not asking him about this. We cant keep secrets from each other either.
I am soooooo gunna have a hard time keeping this in!

I am the same way. When I first went dress shopping I showed FH pics of me in dresses I tried. I knew I found my dress when I didn't not want him to see at all. I have the pictures hiding in a secret file on my computer.

I'm having the SAME exact issue! I found two dresses I really liked yesterday but they're different from something I think he thinks I would pick out... I'm afraid he'll hate them!!
I have a feeling I'll probably end up showing him a bunch of pics but not telling him which one it is that I like and see what he says about them.

Its for you to decide... maybe he can look at the dresses you like but you can pick which one and not tell him. Or he can see you in the dress you've decided on but keep your hair and makeup a secret so there's some surprise the day of. There's an 08 bride whose fh went with her and she seems happy about it.

It's not bad luck for him to see the dress but bad luck for him to see you before you get married- but I think it's BS. If your comfortable 100% with him seeing the dress, then go for it!

That's what I did. I showed FH a bunch of dresses, mine included but without him knowing which one is the dress. I felt better about it and I am horrible at keeping secrets.

08er crashing....DH made me promise that i wouldnt even take a picture of me in any dresses including mine during fittings, etc because he didnt want to come across the pics even if just by accident so i reluctantly agreed. Having been married almost 1 month ago im so happy it was a surprise for him. The look on his face was priceless. HTH

Thats would be fun.....I asked FH what he pictures me in and what he invisioned was what I am going to be wearing. Just luck i guess. I did show him pics of me in what I tried on and didnt get, he didnt like them either, thank God!!!

It really depends. Like I dont want FH to know anything about it, not anything. But we are doing everything traditional. If your ok with him knowing things about your dress then who cares :)

i would love to keep my FH involved w/ the wedding attire but he wants to be surprised...Its hard b/c we do everything together but the suspense keeps him going.

My FH has seen a pic of my dress, from the EOM website. I don't think that's a problem, but I wouldn't want him to see me in it, even though it's nothing like the real thing !!!!

08'er crashing - hope you don't mind....
i think this is entirely a personal decision...
for me - dave came with me to every dress appointment. It meant a lot to me that this was OUR wedding...and not just MY day...
we did EVERYTHING together....dress, flowers, etc. He didn't love having to do it all - but really appreciated that he had a voice in every decision.
his mom, to this day still can't get over the fact that i wouldn't make any decisions without his input. she said in her day - it was all the woman...i told her i didn't care.

its totally up to you... Ive asked FH what he thinks I would look like that day... so i kinda have an idea of what he expects.... we share everything with each other... so like some other brides to be I may show him a bunch of pics of different dresses with mine in there and not tell which one it is.... or I may just hold out and hopefully surprise him
everyones different so you have to do whats best for you..my fh has seen my gown in a mag but doesnt want to see me in it. He knows my style so he knew exactly what I'd choose anyway. Whether he saw a pic of me in it or not..the day of will still be a totally amazing experience...its just not the same as a goofy bridal shop picture...let him get a peek...he's heart will still drop when you walk down that aisle!
