Did i really win a trip???

SO my Mom & I went to the A2Z Bridal expo at the Marriot Melville yesterday; when they were doing the raffles-they were giving out photos; limo stuff etc. Then the good stuff came-the 7 night cruise; and 7 night vacation. I didn't win those; but between the 7 night cruise & 7 night Vaca; they did a 'Surprise Giveaway' from the Wedding Center in Commack. I WON!! I figured it was a discount on a dress or something that i really couldn't use right away...but when it was a 3; 4 or 5 night cruise on behalf of the wedding center???

The paper said 'this it not a gimmick we do not want to start off with the wrong impression' (or something like that) and it said 'No obligation to buy' SO i'm going there this weekend to pick up my voucher. I just remember another show i went to someone called me saying i had won some trip but i had to attend some seminar and after doing research it didn't seem real. I don't know if I should get excited only to find out it's not real???

FH & I can really use the trip LOL! I hope it's real!!!

I 'won' this too...there's a billion black-out dates...and its not on a cruise line I liked, and its for like an inside room, which is pretty terrible...and I didn't like any of the itineraries.

That and from the second we walked in they were really pushy and harassing...they kept asking me what I was paying for Photography and my dress and kept insisting that I should book with them because I would pay less. I found them to be incredibly rude and we left ASAP.

Ohh no - i hope you did win but if what the above says is true that doesn't sound so great.

I guess it never hurts to check it out - i hope it works out for you though!!!!

doesn't sound too good

I'm gonna go this weekend and at least see what it is-black out dates don't matter too much cause we'd go whenever; but do you remember what cruise line it was?

I 'won' somthing from Wedding World in Commack. When I went there it was the same thing. 'If you buy this, this, and this, you get $$$ off.
Wedding World is different from Wedding Center, but I think its the same thing (all in one type of store)

I won that cruise a few months ago. Read the fine print carefully. Not only are there tons of blackout dates, but there are so many fees to pay, you might have well paid for the cruise yourself. I never used the voucher, and I doubt I ever will.

ok i'm glad I asked you all; because i knew it seemed a little fishy-i didn't want to get all excited only to find out it wasn't real-or wasn't even worth the time. I'll still go out there saturday to pick up the voucher just to see all the details and fine print myself.

I totally forgot about that...there's a whole bunch of port taxes and fees and stuff...I think for the 5 day its almost $1000!!

NO WAy!! Are you serious!!! I went on a 7 night cruise this past fall and our port taxes & fees were only like $150. I was expecting it to be in that price range.
