DID YOU ALL PUT YOUR DRESSES ON OVER YOUR HEAD OR STEP INTO IT?
At my fitting yesterday and at every one so far (even try ons) they put the dress over my head. I do not want to mess up my hair on the day of...so I'm curious..did you step into your dress? Is it impossible w/the crinoline?

I haven't gone for a fitting yet but my best friend just got married and the EASIEST way for her was stepoing into her dress...you're hair and make-up will be done - ain't no way you're getting that dress on by going over your head

EXACTLY...plus I'm not sure what you're dress looks like BUT wedding gowns are heavy as heck with layers flying everywhere...

over my head was how i tried it on originally...but for fittings and the day of, i actually stepped into it. for hair and makeup reasons...make up could smear and my luck, on the front of the dress if i'd put it on over my head.

I actually kind of SLID into it!! I didn't want to take a chance of stepping into it and falling over so I sat on the bed and it kinda stood there next to me so I could slide down into it.

Over my head, but I had tried it on some many times for alterations that I was set on that part.
I almost did not need anybody to help me.

I think I'm putting the slip under it, and then putting it down, and stepping into both!

I was lucky..... 2 pieces!!!!!!!!!!!! I stepped into the skirt and the top was a corset, so they just tied it on

I stepped into it. It was only one layer of thick silk with a closure on the shoulder and possibly in the back. Would you believe I can't remember?
