I know we have a lot of recent brides so I hope they are here to share... Did you cry when walking down the aisle? Saying your vows? Any other time? Did you just get teary-eyed or was it niagra falls? Or were you able to keep it under control? What did you do about your makeup?
Sorry so many questions but I'm so worried about this! I look like a slobbery mess when I cry and I don't want to be bawling while I'm walking down the aisle!!

Nope! I thought I would, but I didn't! I did get choked up when we read our vows though. His parents were the only people who did, and they cried the whole time!

I didn't cry but I didn't think I would. I did get tears in my eyes when I first walked into church and saw DH's reaction but it quicly past as I started walking down the aisle and saw everyone smiling happily at me. Once on the alter, Dh and I smiled and giggled with each other - we never got super serious or emotional. It was all happy and fun.

Not that this is going to help you at all LOL But I always pictured myslef crying like a baby when my FH would propose... and I didnt shed a tear!! In fact I laughed a little!!!! How weird! lol Sooooo since I always thought I would bawl at my wedding.. now im not so sure

I was soooo sure that I wouldn't cry however i ended up choking a bit while saying my vows. The whole part where I said 'you will not walk alone' just got me good . I did manage to stop saying my vows at the time to regain some composure.

Oh great.... just thinking of that just made my eyes watery... I asked my dad the other day what we should do about our/my dog, meaning who should keep her when I move out and he said 'I don't even want to think about that right now because it reminds me that you are leaving' ...

I thought I would cry when FH proposed too -- but I didn't -- I also giggled alot so maybe I have that in my favor!! Good point!

Yup, I got teary eyed quite a bit that day, when I first saw him down the aisle, saying our vows and our first dance. I wasn't hysterical but I was very teary eyed!!

You guys are killing me!!! I'm all weepy already!!
I think I'll be okay, but if my Dad or FH start to tear it will start to get messy!! I am not a pretty crier!!

I cry at everyone else's weddings. I cry when I watch 'A wedding story'. I even got chocked up watching 'For better or for worse' on TLC last night! So I cann't imagine what I will be like at my own wedding!

I thought I would be hysterical crying and nothing. i did tear up for a split second when i was about to walk down the aisle bc my dad was getting all teary but that lasted for all of 2 seconds and then i was fine.

to answer your questions, I truly hope I do NOT get hysterical or make a scene .. LOL .. but I don't care if I cry a little bit .. that's just me and I think everyone would be shocked if I DIDN'T CRY. And every single person knows how much I adore my Dad (he is truly my world next to FH) so really I'm sure I'll either cry when he's giving me away, or during the Father/Daughter dance..
Though what WILL get me hysterical is if I see FH shedding any tears.. I don't think I've ever seen him cry and THAT would make me a mess ! THough funny enough I think we'll be trying our best not to laugh .. those long Greek ceremonies always make me want to laugh out loud for some strange reason (I'm a weirdo I know )

My kid sister cries over anything, so she will be a blubbering mess. My mom keeps telling me she's going to cry. I don't cry much, but when I see other people crying, I fall to pieces, so I think that I probably be a mess that day-particularly if I catch a glimpse of my mom and kids sister.

I started hysterically crying right before I walked down the aisle...I stopped as soon as I saw everyone (from shock, I think) and then HE cried saying his vows....I was just smiling the whole time after that!
