Did you cry?

Original post by JimmysBride

I know we have a lot of recent brides so I hope they are here to share... Did you cry when walking down the aisle? Saying your vows? Any other time? Did you just get teary-eyed or was it niagra falls? Or were you able to keep it under control? What did you do about your makeup?

Sorry so many questions but I'm so worried about this! I look like a slobbery mess when I cry and I don't want to be bawling while I'm walking down the aisle!!

ME TOO!!!! You should have seen my dad at my college graduation - he acted like I just won the Nobel Peace Prize or something!

That's adorable! My dad's the same way. He's so proud. He went to my honors induction for graduate school and he was the proudest person alive. I was like, 'Dad ... it's grad school ... everyone does well in grad school ... and I PAID to get into this thing...' It didn't matter. I was still the smartest person alive to him. He's so cute.

Oh Geez, Im dreading this. Im daddy's little girl and I think just him walking me down the aisle will make me cry!!!

ME TOO! I have been thinking about having my mom walk me down also though, I think she feels a little left out cuz she has nothing 'special' that day, walk down the aisle, dance, etx...

I did this. I had both of my parents walk me down the aisle for that exact reason. My mom was so honored. It made her .

I did!! I was weepy all morning - which I needed to be because if I didn't cry I would have hurt someone! As I was about to walk down the aisle I said to my dad 'aw sh!t I'm crying' But since I knew the cameras were on I was forcing myself to smile...

I've seen pictures people took of me...crying/smiling/crying/smiling all the way down the aisle!

and my makeup was fine!

I didn't cry at all the whole day. I got a little choked up when we were saying our vows, but otherwise I was too excited to cry.

The next day saying goodbye to my parents for the honeymoon though. . . I was a mess. I guess it all caught up to me at that point.

Re: Did you cry?

i cried a few times but not as much as i thought i would. i cried for the first time when we were in the limo and janice the driver played going to the chapel and hit the wedding horn. i always get excited when i hear a wedding horn knowing some girls special day is here but having the hirn for me i just got all emotional.

i also cried when the drivers of both cars were talking and i heard that guys had arrived safely at the church.

the biggest tears came when my brother and mom and i were down the aisle and my brother said watch where im walking im going to step on my dads feet(my dad passed away).

then at the reception i did this emotional picture tribute to my father and everyone was crying with me.

I only cried a little after we lite the candles, because the song was so beautiful and the words, in the song, were perfect.

Me too!! I'm a sap, what can I say? I cried and then laughed when FH proposed. I cried like a baby when I saw my 'little' brother for the first time in his tux on his wedding day and cried again while he said his vows. I'm in BIG trouble on my wedding day!!
