I didn't want to puke on it but when we first started dating (back in 1999) we were calculating something and I couldn't add the figures together so as a joke he bought me flash cards. Needless to say, I was NOT happy about that gift. I laugh about it now.

That's sort of funny but I could definitely see where you'd be

I had an ex buy me a pocketbook that looked like he salvaged it out of the AARP Thrift shop. It was NAVY blue and went over BIG w/Grandma when I re-gifted it to her as a gag
She just LOVED it!

An ex got me a ring that I needed a microscope to see the all the stones. It was an antique yellow gold ring with teeny tiny pearls and purple stones in it. I opened it looked at him and closed the box, as I said, That's nice.

I've been married forever and my DH has given some doozies. He is not very good at this stuff anyway but one year I got a clutch for my car and one year I got a fish tank and he even let me pick out the fish I wanted WooHoo! Now I use my daughter to tell him what to get me!

Oh yea, just a quick note he is so bad that he keeps an anniversary and birthday card he has already used and gives it back to me each year (because he usually forgets and has to run upstairs and get it). Nopw I just laugh at him. He is just perfect in so many other ways!

I collect dreamsicles, and he always gets me one for like easter, valentines day etc..
So last easter. I open it and its a baby being christened????

For our second Christmas FH got me a juicer. YUP, thats right, a juicer. I didn't even have my own apartment! Since I was dieting he thought I would like it and it woud help me stay healthy. The thought was there but a JUICER??? He saw my face and returned it lol

DH kind of bombed last year. He tried, but kind of failed. He bought me new sneakers, they were AirMax and had just come out. They were SOOOO not me. I retunred them and got 2 pairs for what he spent on the ugly pair. Then he bought me a ridiculously expensive pair of jeans, but they were way too small (God bless him) so I returnd them and gave him the gift receipt.

Yes, when I was like 15. It was Valentine's Day. This guy I was seeing gave me the ugliest bracelet It was like gold plated kind that tarnishes actually I think it may have been copper. The funny thing was that I gave him the nicest gift.

For my birthday he bought me a watch I hated, but I liked that he wanted to get me a watch, so we went back together to pick out a new one.

That was like my Christmas last year!!
FH bought me a jacket...well it was fushia and black and looked like my GRANDMOTHER would wear it! He told me that I have an 'eclectic' style and he thought that was perfect! Needless to say, he couldn't return it and I just donated it to Goodwill.
