There was no room since we were crammed for space in my sister's kitchen for Passover. I had to ask him to get up so I could go show my mom the ring. she was at the opposite side of the table.

He sure did.....and boy was I suprised....the whole engagement was a blur because I couldn't believe it was happening. But he did lean down on one knee, next to his car as he proposed!! Silly me, thought he was leaning down just to talk to me, and as he was saying how he couldn't imagine his life without me and popped the ring box on my lap, I thought it was a promise ring. It surely didn't dawn on me right away that he was proposing until the very words came out of his mouth.....ahhhh what a magical night that was!!

i agree with all of you--- it was all a blur, i was completely shocked, and I cried a whole lot! i think i even cried before i went to sleep that night!

I guess I am the only one who will admit it- NO!! He was sooooo nervous I'm lucky he even got the words out!!

Mine didnt either It was still very romantic he worked so hard on it - but we were sitting on the beach and he pulled me onto his lap and was hugging me when he pulled it out of his pocket while whispering loving things - it was so sweet!! I loved it!!

Nope... until the other day when we were joking around!!! !

It didn't really bother me and still doesn't because our engagement was such a romantic moment and we were so close together (after dinner in Little Italy).

I was able to look straight into his eyes and we were on the same level...perfect for me!

I asked him later if he would have...and he said, yes, if we weren't in the corner and not huddled against the wall. We were originally in a table that was in the middle of the room and he made us change to a corner (he does this a lot).

I don't think it's a big deal at all!

Mine did not either, we were in a sky ride and if he got down on one knee I would have either had a heartattack or the bucket would have surely flipped over!! He was cute though and insisted on sitting next to me even though the bucket was tipping
