Did you get out early on this snow day? What time?

I know a lot of people were let out early from work today. My school let out at 2:30pm and FH's company let them leave at 2:40pm.

We started dismissing at 1:25, but our last buss didn't arrive till nearly 3!

My company never officially closes, but it was a ghost town this afternoon. I left at 4 PM....for those still at work - be careful! The roads are pretty bad, and some idiots still try and tailgate and speed. I saw one car driving sideways down a turnpike!!!

Our president walked through about 2:10 and said 'Go Home', but most of us in the main office stayed to finish up whatever we were working on - I left about 2:40. I live less than 4 miles from my office, so I wasn't worried about the roads. In fact, I stopped and picked up a couple of good steaks, and some firewood so we can have a nice dinner and our first fire in the fireplace as we watch the snow fall!

I work in Suffolk and live in Queens. The CFO came by at 11:30 and told everyone to go home since it was just going to keep getting worse.

I left school at 12pm. My evening class was cancelled tonight and rescheduled for tomorrow. Too bad I'll be on my way to Florida!

Demetra, Thanks! I'm going for a wedding, and will be home on Sunday. So I'm probably not going to have time for the pool or the beach But hey, it's warm down there!!

I work in a preschool and all afternoon classes were cancelled. Everyone could leave by 12:15

The high school I work at got dismissed at 11:30, the staff were not allowed to leave till 12:00.

Karen - I'm so jealous of you! I was just thinking as I walked into my apt that it's these types of nights where I miss a fireplace!!! How cozy to just curl up next to your hubby and watch the snow fall

I left @ 1:30...took the 2:!4 train...and it was packed to the top!! ARghhhhhhh....but at least I got to go home!!

I got out at 2:00 today and my night classes were cancelled

If I hadn't wasted so much time this morning, I'd have probably been out by 2 but, since I was lazy and had to get some work finished up, I didn't leave til around 4:00.

my office was closing at 3:30pm today...i left at 3pm...
