a gift right after you got engaged? I was thinking this would be nice. So I thought of a vacation to a beach destination or a cruise. Any other ideas?

dont feel bad it was a combo ... i year anniversary/engagement/early christmas present (well kind of early xmas ... i still got him enoguh crap for xmas)!!

I want to buy my FH a watch or a suit but when the $$ is right. I would love to surprise him with a vaca someday. He would LOVE that.

wow i didnt even think of that! i feel bad now!! that would be fine to do some sort of random surprise big present. but we really got no $$$ i know we are not even going to give bride and groom presents that some exchange- we just think it would be too much for us.. when we can use our $$ for other things...

honestly, his gift was me saying YES when he asked me to marry him sorry I couldn't resist
With all the money we have to save, I didn't get him anything.....but I already got him a wedding gift- which he probably won't even like!! He hates jewelry and I got him cufflinks engraved w/ his initials and a pocketwatch engraved w/ a little message from me....he doesn't wear watches (since he's an electrician, he can't), but I've got my fingers crossed that he'll like my gift!!

My fh is a HUGE Jim Morrison fan. We got engaged while we were vacationing in Vegas. There was a collectables store in Cesears that had an autographed album cover of The Doors. It was matted and framed (It is in a huge 16x20 frame with the album included) We talked the seller down to $1500 including shipping from $2500. So that was his gift. He had a permanent smile for the rest of our vacation!!!
