I was going to but I completely walked out and forgot. I am going to add more money to his tip the day of the wedding and add a little note in it!

$40 but the amount came out because that is what was in my wallet. I probably would have done less if I was not sure if he was going to be doing my wedding day!

We didn't tip. it was done in their studio. I would have tipped if it was done at our place of choice since the photographer would have to drive there & pose us. Just my opinion!

me neither... I doubt were going to. I figure will just tip the day of the wedding.

o wow i didnt think of it either.


our e-pics are with the package, honestly i wouldnt have had them done originally. so we will prob just do one big tip the day of.
unless we are in a super happy excited mood when we get the pics taken lol

I tried to tip my photographer $50 but he would not accept it. We did pay for his entrance into the botanic garden and he did accept $5 for parking.

I was just thinking about this question. My photos are included in my package so I don't know if I should just give a big amount on the wedding day or tip a little at the shoot.

my photographers own the company so what I'm paying for my package is going directly towards them, so in that case I was under the impression I'm not expected to tip, is that correct?

Either way, I won't be tipping at the engagement session, if anything I will do it the night of the wedding.

We shot with the owner...we paid for his ticket and offered to take him to lunch and a show but he said he didnt have time.

IMO if you tip they will go the extra yard for you... we are using the photographer for the wedding and since its such an important thing I don't want anyone to get insulted that we didn't try to tip.. if they don't take it,. the good gesture i hope will go a long way on the day of!

if you aren't using the photographer for the wedding then its a totally different story and i'd probably tip less.

I'm likely hiring a husband/wife duo, and they own the company. Not sure I would tip them for e-pics, but maybe on the wedding day itself.

I never even thought of tipping them since they dont work for a bigger company, but for themselves.

This is the exact case for me (are you booking Verdi, too??), so I didn't think I would need to.

But Mary makes a good point, that it might make a difference for the day of? I would like to think that they wouldn't do a bad job for not tipping at the E-session, though I guess it couldn't hurt?
