It is DEFINATELY not too late!!!
I got engaged in October - and my e-party was in March. Originally we were gonna have it in July - and if the hall I went to did not have March available, we would have had it in July

Definitely not too late. We got engaged in July and had a small party (immediate family and close friends) in October.

Definitely not too late. A few of my friends got egenaged in December and are having their e-parties in June. I think it is fine! Go for it!

We did not have one. But I may have a BBQ in the summer with the wedding party and immediate family. This way everyone can meet.

It is not toolate. We were engaged in Feb and are having our e-party on June 24th.

Definitely not too late!! We got engaged Oct.28 2005 and our party was Feb. 6 2006.

It's not too late. We got engaged in August and had our engagement party in October.

I don't think it's too late. Do what works best for you and your schedules.

I actually had a smaller dinner party at a restaurant with just our parents, god parents, siblings and the bridal party which was only about 25 people.

I don't think its too late but I kind of know how you feel...
We got engaged on December 3rd and decided right away not to have one but I kind of wish we were having something casual just to celebrate!

Nina, I got engaged Decembe 3rd too! We are Engagement date twins!

an engagment party? How long after you got engaged did you have the party? I would like to have one but my family said it 's too late. We got engaged on Christmas eve. My FH's Mom has been in the hospital since early January and will be realeased sometime in May. I thought we could have one over the summer when she is well again. What do you think, is it too late?

It's DEFINITELY not too late to have one! Me and FH got engaged on 12/23/05 and we are having our Engagement party July 15th! We were going to do it in May (a little over a year before the wedding) but my sister (who lives in Rochester) couldn't make it. Her and her family are moving back to the Island at the end of June...and it's important that she is there.
