Did you know he was the 1 when you guys met? We had a really rocky beginning because I was seeing somebody - then he was.... and we were both B****es to each other because of it.
I totally knew though on our first date that there was no way in the world I was going to let him go! He felt the same too... it was like we were being pulled together and once it finally happened we knew why.

I kinda knew but didn't want to get my hopes up so I just told myself - 'OK just deal with it and think of it as a fling and if nothing more- fine!' but it turns out my gut was right all along ... corny I know but totally true!

YES!!! I remember saying out loud in my car, 'LORD, that's the man I'm going to marry!!!!!' Previous to knowing him, he was known to his friends as Bachelor Ben. He was 33 and I was 22 when we married!!! Mary MOB

I am really happy you posted this. I am having a really bad day and your question just made me think about FH and how things worked out.
we met when we were 13 at his father's karate school. but he was too cool, so we didnt talk until we were 15. we became friends but eventually stupidly lost touch (I lost his phone # and I was too embarrassed to ask his father to give it to me, and he would always leave me voice messages on the 'beeper' ...without re-stating his #) Anyway, 2 years later we both quit karate around the same time. FH left his house and I got lazy.
When I was 22 I decided I wanted to finish what I started and get my black belt. When I returned and saw his father (my sensei), he said to me 'OH, remember my son Gus? Well tomorrow is his first day back ! What a coincidense!'
-Thats when I knew something was not right - LOL.
a few months passed and we somehow ended up at the same club one night. WEIRD. after a few hours he said 'werent we friends before? didnt I like you?' ... I had no idea he did. thats when it clicked that when I stopped calling him, he prob. felt 'dissed' ....meanwhile I had no idea. Anyway, thats when we kissed.....and it was MAGIC.
We've had our ups and downs and god only knows it wasnt easy getting here, but things are great now and looking back at how things played out, I def. know we were meant to be.
in the end I got the black belt and the boy! LOL.
To add to the creepiness: Last month he was throwing away stuff when he found his 'black book' that he's had since FOREVER.... He called me up and said 'I found my black book, You are on page 1 ' I told him to look on the last page, and my name was there as well with my current #. So I told him, see? I told you it was meant to be, the black book started with me and ended with me....
freakin' weird!!!! *** I know this was a yes/no question and sorry to write so much, but your question def. hit a soft spot. Thank you for the question, looking back at the past made me feel a lot better. .

No way, we met our freshmen year of college and he was so quiet and I was so not. I had a crush on our friend Mark (who was my best friend but had a girlfriend at home) and our friend Brian had a crush on me. I actually dated Brian first. I didn't even think of him as anything but a friend until our Junior Year when I was upset about a guy in his frat. I was walking down the stairs and saw fh's door open. Mark was abroad so I went in to talk to fh. We were good friends so it wasn't weird. But after that we started hanging out more and then something happened.
Funny thing though, i think he might have thought I was the one. My parents took us all out to dinner the beginning of our freshmen year. They were laughing at the dynamics because Mark, Brian, another boy Duc and fh all moved around waiting until I sat to sit down. My parents were convinced all four liked me a lot. But they said it was the way fh looked at me, even though he was the quietest that they knew he had a thing for me. He denies it of course because I was so busy flirting with Mark and Brian that I barely noticed him at the time.
Its always the quiet ones.

I DEF didn't. I always dated the losers who treated me like sh*t. When I met FH i was convinced he was too much of a mama's boy for me. Turns out he is just really a nice guy but i wasn't used to that. My boss kept telling me to give it time and not to judge him. I still thank her to this day for smacking some sense into me.

I've known him since I was 14 and a freshman in high school. I had a class with him and my crush at that time was a senior who used to walk me to that class. I used to chat on AIM with fh about how I liked the other guy and what to do about it. We weren't really great friends just online friends and in class. Then sophomore year, we didn't have classes together and stopped talking because I never saw him. At the end of that year, I showed up to lifeguard training with my best friend Maura and he was there with his best friend Matt. Matt was my 8th grade boyfriend for 1 week and is one of our best men lol! But no I didn't think in those terms at the time because I was only 16.I loved him but it was in the moment because I was too young to be thinking about the future and stuff like the one... its just that the moment never ended lol!

I did, deep down...but I had to protect myself because I had just recently gone through a lot of turmoil with a few guys in college. I didn't want to jump the gun and set myself up for disappointment again, so I tried to guard myself.
When I met FH, he was just so...non-threatening. Which is weird that I thought that, considering the circumstances in which we met, he could have been a total creepy guy that just stalled the car out on purpose or unplugged his battery to pick up girls. But when we started talking, I felt like I knew him forever, he made me feel so comfortable, and he was very respectful and family oriented and confident without seeming like a jerk. Now I know he IS a little arrogant Leonine jerk, but I love him lol
I have no idea if he feels the same, but I think we both kinda just knew that we were the perfect blend for each other.

When I laid eyes on him I knew he was the one!! He is just awesome, cute, loving, understanding, and the list goes on...
I felt for his looks first (obvious) then I met the real NOA and I fell deeply... He is just the best thing that ever happen to me...

Ha...not really. It took me 3 weeks before I would go out on a date with him! I wasn't in the mood to start dating. I finally went out with him and it seemed right!
