did you make all your BMs have the same hairstyle?
Just wondering if you did / are having your BMs all wear their hair the same way.
I wasn't planning on doing that - figured I'd let them do what they were most comfortable doing. I used to hate it when I had to wear my hair up to a wedding b/c I have a REALLY round face. I look (and feel!) ridiculous with my hair all pulled back tightly. But of course, I'll wear my hair however the bride wants me to!
Did anyone else just let their BMs choose their own hairstyle? Did you really think it made a difference?
I just want them to all look / feel their best, and I figured they can pick their hairstyle better than I can... but do you think it makes a difference with the pictures, etc.?

nope. i just wanted my girls to have it out of their face and up.
a couple wore it half up, but as long as i didnt see it i didnt care.
one wedding i was in, we had to have it in an up do which made some girls uncomfortable, but it all worked out. she was teh bride afterall!

I am going to have them all have it the same stlye (either all up or half up/half down) . I want a little uniformity since I let the girls pick whatever dress they wanted (with some restrictions, color, designer, length).

I never made my BMs do anything...other than pick a dress in the color I wanted. They wore their hair however they liked and were most comfotable in.

I want them all to wear the same dress, but when it comes to shoes, bags and hair they can do what ever they want as long as its black closed toe shoes, black bag and hair up, half or all...I want it to look put together...I am giving them their lewlery so they don't have to worry about that

I did not ask them to have the same look. I hate looking like other people so I didn't want it done to them.

My only request was that all the girls had their hair done. One had her hair done into a french twist. ANother curled it up on her head, and another did an off side twist. Each looked elegant and beautiful in their gowns and my photos are beautiful!

I think it is absolutely ridiculous to ask your girls to wear their hair a certain way. You asked these girls to be in your bridal party because you have a unique relationship with each one. Why would you want them to all look identical?
Brides who ask their girls to wear their hair a certain way is asking too much, I think. Hair and makeup is an individual preference. Don't make your girls feel uncomfortable.

I didn't ask them to wear their hair the same way. Some have shorter hair than others, whatever they are comfortable with is fine with me.

definitely not, I loved seeing the individuality of my girls, they all looked beautiful, they had different hairstyles and different dresses ( all the same color and material)

They can do whatever they want with it. I really think that if you make them get their hair done then you need to pay for it. They're already paying a lot of money to be in your wedding and forcing them to pay a hairstylist is too much.

No. Each girl looked how they wanted to....although I think everyone pretty much wore their hair down.

I think this is a very strong opinion. Some people would think that making your girls wear the same dress is confining there tastes as well. I think that it is okay to ask everyone to decide together on a style or just on an updo or down or half up /down.

I agree. I don't think it's necessarily wrong to ask your girls to have some sort of uniformity (i.e. all off the face or all down) I don't plan on doing that because all of my girls have different length hair and texture. I probably will ask all of my girls to have their hair done by a professional--although nothing about my wedding will be traditional! (my maid of honor is my best male friend in the world and he certainly can't get his hair put up!!)

That's right, I do have a very strong opinion because I have made to feel very uncomfortable. I am one of those girls that always wears her hair down. And to ask me to put it up, is unfair.

I might be and the reason being is, we are having flowers put in our hair and they are wearing halter dresses.
I agree everyone has different style and we all picked the people we did to be in our BP for a reason, but some of my girls have A LOT of hair and I want to see their face in the pictures. If one of my girls expressed that she was not comfortable with her hair up, down whatever then I would absolutely not insist they do it. I just requested they wear it up and they all said no problem
