Just wondering if you did / are having your BMs all wear their hair the same way.

I wasn't planning on doing that - figured I'd let them do what they were most comfortable doing. I used to hate it when I had to wear my hair up to a wedding b/c I have a REALLY round face. I look (and feel!) ridiculous with my hair all pulled back tightly. But of course, I'll wear my hair however the bride wants me to!

Did anyone else just let their BMs choose their own hairstyle? Did you really think it made a difference?

I just want them to all look / feel their best, and I figured they can pick their hairstyle better than I can... but do you think it makes a difference with the pictures, etc.?

i guess that day i might change my mind but for now as long as it isnt too crazy i wont mind

I wanted there hair all up and gave them a picture. I didnt want anyone showing up with ghetto hairstyles.

I dont think having your BM have different hairstyles is going to ruin your pics, so I say going with your feeling and let them have different styles.

Absolutely not. I wanted them all to choose a hairstyle they felt comfortable with. Everything came out perfectly.

I am not going to pick out an exact hairstyle for them. I know that they will each pick different styles regarding up or down styles & that is fine with me as long as I am aware of how they are doing it. I am probably going to pay for their hair & makeup as part of their BM gifts.

This seems a little Bridezillaish if you ask me. Asking them or should I say telling them you want them to wear their hair a certain way??? The last time someone told me I had to wear my hair a certain way was when I was ten and my mom did my hair. These BMs are not dolls you get to dress up a certain way and have pose in pictures. These are supposed to be your closest friends and/or relatives. So their hair doesn't look the best way you 'think' it looks with a strapless or a halter gown, but to them it may. Everyone has a different point of view on what looks good. Let them feel comfortable on your wedding day, just as you want to be comfortable. It'll make for a much happier and smoother ride in the end. Worry about something more important than your BMs hair.

I'm with some of the girls on here that it's all about the bride, if a bride asked me to grow dreadlocks I would. Hair just isn't a big deal to me. I don't know if I'll tell my girls to wear their hair a certain way - I'll just tell them the look I'm going for...

I totally agree. If I were in someone's wedding & they wanted me to wear something that I wouldn't pick out for myself, I would wear it b/c it's their day.

I was MOH in my MOHS wedding ...she wanted everyone to have the same hair style... I have completely different hair and I didnt think my face would look great with the style... BUT, I did it cause it was her wedding and you know what..much to my surprise, it looked beautiful.

For my wedding, I went from saying do whatever you want to then deciding I wanted everyones hair away from their face...MOH knew I wanted it up and talked to the other girls and they decided they would do it up-One girl did something a little different and i was fine with it, although I hated what it looked like...
BUT, it was out of her face, exactly what I wanted, I dont think I was a bridezilla for asking for that

I'm not making them do the same hairstyles. The only thing they are having the same is the dress. That was it. Everything else is their own choice. I want them to be comfortable

at first i told them i just wanted it all up...but then i thought about it and understood that some might not feel comfortable....so I just told them i dont want 'hair in the face'....as long as the front is atleast pulled back, i dont care what they do. so we'll see!!

heh, and I thought I was the only one to not discuss a bridesmaids dress.... I only asked them to wear a black knee length skirt and an ivory top.... (I figured it's not hard to find either.)
Hair/make-up is also totally up to them.
