we picked out the setting a looooong time before we got engaged.. and he told me that he found a different one when he did buy the ring.. but it was the original setting that I fell in love with.. He did very well!!!

I didnt pick my ring out...all I said was I like princess cut diamonds...he did a great job with bling bling all on his own

I had picked out a couple of settings so FH would know what I liked, we had completely different ideas of what we like...he wound up getting the setting that I REALLY wanted!!!

no but in all seriousness I did pick it out- I was looking for a solitaire and he was going to get me a triple stone ring so it all worked out in the end

Nope. I was very lucky, FSIL went with FH to pick it out. Thank God we have very simialr taste. That could have been a disaster!

When I began working in NYC's diamon district FH came and we went window shopping. I had tried on a ring that I loved. I find out almost 3 years later when he proposed that he went back the week after we went shopping to buy the setting.

haha if i said 'princess cut solitare' any more times he'd beat me hahahahaha i just wanted simple and classic that will look good with any wedding band i picked out... loooove my princess cut solitare hehehehe he followed directions well (but did learn all about diamonds to get the perfect one... that was impressive hehe)

No No No... Fh did this one on his own.. he even picked out the weddingbands on his own. he has good taste fo I was not worried at all.
