Ok, so we are now discussing TTC towards the end of the year. My DH wants to find out the sex of the baby. I would prefer to be surprised for my first. I realize it would makes things easier, from a practical standpoint. However,,,,,,,,
So, can you lovely mommies give me some pros and cons. I can use this to strick up a great discussion tonight with DH.

We have spoken about this many times and we want to know. We both are not good with surprises and we want to be prepared ahead of time.

NO!!!!! IMO it ruins it if you find out. When my friends who knew what they were having & they called it kind of ruined the great 'What did she have' it was kind of like Oh Johnny (or whatever name) is here.

I had to know what we were having... I think there are going to be plenty of surprises... plus it's fun referring to her by name rather than 'The baby'

Honestly it is either a boy or a girl so it is a 50/50 chance you can guess We decided to wait and find out in the delivery room. But I think it is a personal decision and one that really is hard for some couples.

We are torn for when we are PG. I want to know, he does not. I guess we will see when it happens. Ill probably give in and let him be surprised.!

We aren't TTC but I feel this is the last great surprise you get as an adult. If I were in the situation I would be dying of curiousity, but would wait until the baby is born.

I was a major 'let's never find out' - I am SO SO thrilled we did! I love calling her by her name (or names....since we haven't chosen!) I love saying - 'she's moving around a lot', or 'she must like chocolate' - it's so great to know! JMO!

Not for our first chiled. We want to be surprised. I think for the second one we would find out. It makes it more fun

I also NEVER wanted to find out, but I was so happy we did, for all the same reasons Jenny said. Also if you really want one sex over the other it is good to find out. I really wanted a boy and we are so happy to now have one

We are waiting to find out. Part of me wants to know, so who knows if hte hormones will make me change my mind mid-way thorugh this pregnancy.....

We waited, too, as TEMPTING as it is to find out!!!! I'm so happy we did!
I promised DH that we could find out w/ Peanut #2... maybe.
