Did you write your own ceremony?

Did you write your own ceremony?

Not just the vows, but everything.

I started doing ours and I think I have way too much stuff.

I've looked online and have really only found the actual vows. I'm looking for a start to finish whole ceremony dealio.

Anyone want to share their own, or point me in the right direction. I'm having little luck searching the internet.

thanks!

Yes we wrote ours with our minister. It's long though. I can FM it to you but I don't feel comfortable posting it for the world to see.

I just looked over mine and here are my rough 'chapters'

Processional

Bridal Processional

Introduction by minister

Reading from Corinthians- my friend

'I Will'- The Beatles, as performed by the Best Man (who is a Paul McCartney impersonator )

Reflections upon marriage

The history of the parallel lives we lived for 14 years before meeting (same job interview, same college, same dorm, same major but never met)

Blessing of the Hands (I rewrote this using several versions I found to fit us better)

Exchange of Vows

Exchange of Rings

Irish Blessing- as read by FH's two sisters

Wine ceremony/Breaking of the glass

Introduction

Recessional

My minister estimates the ceremony to be between 20 and 25 minutes.

Hope this helps.

We wrote the whole thing but mainly because it was an interfaith ceremony and we wanted to be very specific about what we were pulling from each religion. FM me if you want to see it, but I'm not sure that it's what you want....
