Did You/Will You use your DJ or CD music for your ceremony?

Original post by sarahradio5

I dont know what to do. We are having a male soloist and an organist/pianist for our wedding. I've always wanted the sound of violins playing Pachelbel Canon in D at my wedding. Should I have a cd playing for this? Does that sound cheesy? Should I just have the pianist do it? Will that sound okay? Or should I spend 450 bucks for a string quartet. I don't know!!!

OMG YEAH I DID!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!
I'm SO excited, i have a countdown-- we are going memorial day weekend from friday (VERY EARLY, we'll be on the beach just after noon!!) and then coming back monday very late so we could maximize our time there!
wait until you see pics when we get back, i was looking on the resort's website and it's amazing and the best part is--they treat us like we are paying for it!! the lady on the phone was like what kind of room would you like? and i'm like I have a choice? shes like which resort do you want? she let me choose between three different resorts on barbados and their other one on st. lucia!!! I'm so excited--they upgraded our room and everything! plus, alcohol and food are all included so i'm going to drink and eat my FACE OFF!! LOL
here's two pics i have of where we are going.. they also provide limo transportation to and from there airport once we get there and free service two and from our hotel and the other two hotels they own on the island so we can go on whatever beach we would like and eat wherever we want!!!

OMG! You hit the JACKPOT! good for you! Enjoy it! And MILK it for all it's worth!!!!!

Wait... so 'JennandPhil' is your sister? I didn't know! Hi, Jenn!

I knew you guys were sisters at the Anniversary Party, but I didn't know which screen name you were. You're right! Your poor parents! You could have just had a dual wedding!

we're getting married in church and the church supplies the organ player and he will do anything we want.......A dj is great but for a wedding I think a live band is more appropriate they give more of a personal touch to the affair and they sing live and they get the crowd going......
I'm having the band Voices they're great and the lead singer is the guy that's on the radio KTU that had that re-mix of sweet caroline i just love them they're great musicians

I'm having the church organist. Plus I'm part of the church choir, so I'm going to ask them to sign at the wedding. We've sung for other member's wedding before, so I don't think they'll say no to me.

I was originally going to have my cousin play guitar for the ceremony - but I don't know which songs I want and I don't know how it will sound. I love Canon in D....but was thinking of All You Need is Love for coming back up the aisle. I don't know what else to use. I contacted my dj about the price for the ceremony music and it's $199 without the PA system. I'm already paying $2,000...so $199 doesn't seem like a lot...but for all that I'm paying you'd think he could throw it in - especially if he doesn't have to set up the PA system.
