I'm not, but FH lost 100 pounds last year! So proud of him! He basically made up his own diet with my dad lol.. Basically, high fiber and low calorie. He eats high fiber oatmeal for breakfast, a fiber one bar two hours later, lunch two hours after that (he likes those right size shakes from cvs and loads it up with cinnamon to boost metabolism) then another fiber one bar two hours later then a healthy snack two hours later then dinner two hours after that (usually grilled chicken on a wrap or a SmartOnes dinner). He swears by it and feels the most important thing is eating every two hours and never eating after 7 unless it's like a special occasion like if we go out with friends. Also, no soda.

I gave up eating out for lent (no food, snacks, coffee, nada) and lost 7 pounds in 40 days. I carried around snacks like hummus and pita bread and carrot sticks in case I got hungry while out and I brought my lunch with me. I only cheated the 4 days I was on vacation and for 2 of my friends' birthday dinners.

I would highly suggest a clean eating diet and take in lots of water. It is recommended to drink the equivalent of half your body weight in ounces. So if you're 150 pounds drink 75 ounces of water a day. For your meals eat breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. Meals should be smaller portions. Stick to super foods like quinoa, almonds and tons of vegetables with hummus. Eating more often keeps your metabolism up. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day and you will start to see results.

This. Generally not processed foods. If you think of all of the foods around the edge of the grocery store those are the ones you want to eat (vegetables, meats, eggs, yogurts, raw nuts, etc.).

Clean eating it is! I actually ordered a beach body program which all clean eating & working out at home for 30 minutes. It has had great reviews and has been on back order. I ordered it a month ago and it finally shipped today. I can't wait to get it and begin my journey!

I found a nutritionist on groupon who is really great. The company is Nutrish Mish. It was 8 sessions for $99. She has a groupon running rt now and has offices in Nassau and Suffolk. I've lost 12 pounds so far. My goal is to lose 15.
