Its a digital album, which I happen to be getting from my photographer, VIP. When searching for a photographer over a year ago. I had a hard time finding a phographer that I liked and who could get us the Soho book. Two photographers lied to us about taking the photo's in the book. (I knew they had not taken the photo's - its a stock book sent out so they can sell the product) And now the stock book it on-line for everyone to view!!! I just want to share the information about this digital album I can't wait to get mine!!!
we are also getting the album...Isn't it outrageous?!?...I love it!...I never saw anything like it before..

Wait!! what's a digital album?? I haven't booked the photographer yet and I was planning on getting a book similar and doing myself... Does this mean you get your pics and can DIY? Can you buy the books from this company??

I am using Patken, and that's the book we are getting....it's so beautiful and creative. I prefer photojournalism to the traditional pictures.

darly - a digital album is more or less the use of photoshop and text to create layouts, rather than traditional prints (photos). With the soho book, I get to use 100 photos and my photographer will be designing it. But from what I see u can design your own or you can hire the album company to design it. Some girls have posted their digital album pages, do a search or check out the link to the soho book, they have the sample book on-line.

anyone know the price range for just printing is? i want to design my album myself and have them print it, however when i click on the prices link they require some code. all i'm looking for is a ball park figure - anyone know?

with it being digital.....more than one pic can be 'layered' on a page......for example...you can use one photo as the background of the actual page, then let's say along the left hand side, you'll have a few small photos of anything...like the BP.....A digital album allows for manipulation of the photos so you get more in your album.....sonicstef posted her layout on the newlywed board and it was breath taking.......you'll be able to see what I'm describing..... I think we're going to do it too!

Im not using the same company that makes the Soho book but as far as I know, all the major companies will only sell to professional photographers. Although Im sure you can work with your photographers if you wanted to design it yourself - that is what I did. But I will warn you, its a LOT of work.

yes it is, we have made changes & changes and still aren't done.
