Re: Digital camera recommendation
I have Canon SureShot I think? It's one of the newer ones with an LCD screen - I love it! Relatively easy to learn how to use, and takes great pictures. It's pricey though - I think it was over $500??

Re: Digital camera recommendation
How much is a good digital camera? What are the best brands? I have heard that Olympus is very good. I want to buy FH one for Christmas. But I am digital camera illiterate. Any information would be great

Re: Digital camera recommendation
What sort of uses does your DH have for it?I just bought a really fancy one that allows for different lens, etc... (Olympus 4040) But if you plan on just using it for simple snapshots, there is a very good Sony model out (DC9?).

Re: Digital camera recommendation
I am not sure what he wants to do with it. I will find out. This is the first time he actually said he wanted something so I figured I would take advantage of it without having to sit and figure out what to buy him

Sony
I swear by Sony-- we have a Mavica which takes mini cd's--that way you dont have to pay tons for memory and you can just store the pics right on the cd's versus transferring them to a computer-- so much easier-- I take tons of pics and found this to be the easiest way--although one of the more expensiveLaura

Re: Sony
I have the Sony P3 and it is great. I get a lot of compliments because it is so tiny yet so good. It was pricey (Ithink about $600 at the time of purchasae last year (but a gift to DH and my from SIL for our b-day and christmas for like the next two years).Welcome New Vendors
