We chose our photography package and are going with a new type of album...a digital wedding album. We saw one last night at our photographer and it is so awesome. Has anyone seen or had a digital album?

Yes the digital Albums are amazing. I think they are becoming very popular. Plus they can fit so many pictures on one page

We're are also getting digital albums, I loved the samples I saw and that you can fit alot of pics on a page.
Digital albums are similar to flush albums..they arent traditional mounted/inserted pics, the pages itself are the pics and can extend to the edges of each page. Sorry if thats a confusing description!

We're getting it too!!! When I saw it, I just HAD to have it!!! You get soooo many more pictures and the effects really capture more of the day. They're not posed shots, mainly candid although there are some that are traditional posed. THe parent albums are traditional though...so we'll have both.

We are getting digital albums as well. I like how more pictures can be incorporated into each page, for example, using one picture as the entire background, and adding pictures over it.....very cool!

I quickly did a google search for digital wedding albums and found one with nice sample pages. Go to www.visionmasters.net/albums/ and they give you about 14 pages of a digital wedding album.
They are very attractive - my concern is the lifespan though - digital photos fade and don't last as long as regular photos so how will the digital album look in 10 or 20 years? Then again a regular album will begin to yellow and fade as well.

we did a digital album as well through Patken. It came out beautiful! I posted the pages a couple weeks ago on the Newlywed and BHB board, if you do a search for my posts you can pull it up!

I've been to 4 photographers and most of them have them know. They are so nice and make each album unique

It's a common misconception that digital photos fade. It all depends on how they are printed. Digital photos printed with an ink-jet printer that you have at home will definitely fade. If you print the photos at a lab, they are going to use the same quality of materials they use to print film. The digital albums are only digital because they are laid out using digital files on a computer.
