Direction Cards-HELP!

Direction Cards-HELP!

I had assumed that my church would have some sort of directions that I could either copy or make into direction cards and what they gave me (it was on their website) is too 'local' and doesn't really include enough details (like what to do when you get off the LIE etc) so I have to make them myself and I was wondering if any of you ladies made any sort of direction cards to include in your invitations. I guess I should also provide directions from the Church to the Reception-did anyone do this? Help! I wanted to send out my invitations in the beginning of August to some of our OOT guests. TIA!

ETA: if you have pics you can show me that would be greatly appreciated!

I made mine. I had them printed at a local printer, but you can use kinkos. Here's a link to a post on them.

Kimberelybride and I have had great luck using Ebay vendors. Although my vendor no longer makes them, Kim just got hers and they are amazing. Its a personalized directional card that includes hotels, ceremony location, and reception hall. It lists all major highways with easy to follow directions. Good luck!!

Yes thanks to Divabride I was able to find a great person to work with. I got them from Julie at notablenotations.com

There are written directions on the back. This is the front.

Kim...for yours.....what did you have to provide the vendor with in order to get the maps and written directions?

I dont think I could begin to try and give directions through Queens and LI to my upstate guests

Re: Direction Cards-HELP!

Fh and I created directions on one side to church (wasn't provided by church) and then on the other side we put hotel accomodations for out of towners..... we also had an insert for the hall which had a pretty good map on it.....we used parchment paper from staples to print them out. we made them pretty small I think it ended up being 5x5...

good luck, fm if you have any questions!!

Re: Direction Cards-HELP!

The map looks awesome Christine.

To answer the two questions above:

I only have to give the address of both locations and she mapped everything out with a program she had. I had to do nothing.

I had a proof within a day or so and the maps within a week. She was awesome!
