Has anyone heard amazing things about their photographer and then have engagement pictures taken and not feel like your expectations were met? I loved all of my friends pictures that were taken by Duet but when it was our turn for e-pics I felt that they werent as good. Maybe my expectations were too high?!?! Am I the only one that feels like this?

I think they came out great! Everyone always tells me I'm too critical when it comes to pics of myself. Maybe you're just being overly critical, but I'm not sure what it is that you are unhappy with.

I felt like that a little too... but I felt I was more disappointed with the way I looked than the actual photography.

I actually hated my e-pics.... and I know hes a good photographer. I felt like FH looked great and I looked terrible FH told me I was crazy but Im like I hope I dont feel this way for my wedding pics

OMG I felt the same way.....FH looked great in alot of them but I looked horrible. I couldnt even put the ones up that looked like I gained 50 pounds in the matter of minutes. It was so bad. I'm hoping the wedding day is a different story. I wanst sure if it was just me...if my expectations were too high!!!!

Your pics are really nice! I think people tend to be more critical of themselves than others pics. But they did a nice job with your pics.

we actually had a friend take our epix... we did 2 days of them, 2 different locations
day 1 came out amazing day 2 came out eh -- it was 100+ degrees and we were sweaty and squinty

just remember that when brides post pics it's like the top 5 or whatever. i'm using blue daisy, and even perusing her gallery, seeing ALL of the pics together was less than amazing. you're not using all of them anyway, so it's that handful of incredible shots that i'm hoping for.
