Disappointed, but for the best

So while I'm obviously disappointed, I know it's for the best, but we are 99.9% not getting our e-pics done tomorrow

It's frustrating because I purposely scheduled them for when I was on vacation, and I know I'm going to catch a ton of shiz from work to leave early whenever we do reschedule them. But what can you do? Technically we can still do them tomorrow if it's cloudy, but we'd really rather them be on a nice day, and since FH is a photographer himself he said that with the weather and cloud situation being what it is, and at that time of evening at 6:00, going to be really tricky with lighting, could force us in to having to use black/white effect, have the effect of a fluorescent light in a bathroom, etc. so we would rather wait until the weather cooperates with us a bit more.

I'm not mad, just frustrated. I just canceled my makeup trial that I was given as accommodation for the shoot from last week's disaster, because I don't need it now and don't want to take advantage of the situation, and I feel bad for my photographer, who said that this has been status quo for months with all his epic shoots, scheduling, rescheduling for weather, rescheduling even again for this awful weather we've been having. Bah! We're going to have to do it some time in October, and just pray and hope that we get better weather next time, since cutting it super close then.

oh that stinks but you are right. . prob not worth it to have bad lighting etc!! you will have a great day no worries!

We had to reschedule due to the weather too and it worked out great!

We did our epics last year on Halloween Day- it couldn't have been more perfect fall weather.

Don't necessarily rule out taking the pics if it's just overcast. It was very overcast on our wedding day, but we were still able to take pictures outside up until about 7:20 or so. The silver lining was that we didn't have to worry about people squinting in the pics and the cloudy effect looked kind of cool in some of the pictures.

I'm sure your pictures will be gorgeous and well worth the wait if you decide to postpone!

Man, I was just thinking about that this morning. Sorry it happened but you are right, it's for the best. Wait for a gorgeous fall day - I am sure we are bound to have tons coming up! (Hopefully one on Oct. 23 ... )

Sorry you're disappointed. It can be worth it to wait for nice weather, but if you must take them, trust me- you can get great pics!!

We had to take ours the day we were scheduled and it was overcast and drizzling and our pictures came out great! You have FM.

We're going to take them at Sunken Meadow, we were shooting for sunset time...so overcast/rainy/wet sand really isn't going to fly, so I think we'll just try our luck one more time. If it so happens that it rains or is the same weather the day we reschedule...well, at least we tried right? And then we'll just take them.

We took ours there too! It was a yucky day also and I still think they came out good! I insisted we do them that day because I had my makeup done.

Seriously? Now the forecast is saying that the rain is ending tomorrow morning early and is going to clear by late afternoon/evening.

After I canceled makeup. Ugh. I hate the weather!!! I won't have the final call till 11 tomorrow, and I'm sure that the forecast will change 5 times by then anyways
