disappointed in FH

Original post by nferrandi

FH is going to Vegas next weekend for his bparty and the one thing I asked hm was for no private stripper (AKA prostitutes). I told him to feel free to go to as many strip clubs as he wanted but I didn't want any of that going on in their rooms. He just told me that one of the guys rented a suite for the actual bparty. I got upset and told him that was the one thing I asked him not to do and he said, 'well I didn't plan it, so too bad.' He is on the top of my sh!t list right now!

That is so wrong. He already agreed not to do that. I would talk to him about it, really. You're not being 'that girl' or anything. I would be totally uncomfortable with that as well and I trust Fh 100% He has to respect what you are and are not comfy with and keep his promises. You two really need to talk. Don't let him make you feel like your feelings are unimportant and you're being 'that girl,' guys try to do tat all the time..don't fall for it! How you feel is valid and he should respect it! he's going to be your hubby very soon, and you're the #1 priority.

We spoke about it and he knows that he didn't handle it right, but now he feels stuck. He was very clear about what he would allow and what would not happen under any circumstances. He even said that he will let any of his friends that want the spotlight to pretend to be the groom so that the focus was off of him. I'm definitely still not happy with the situation, but unfortunately there's nothing I can do other than trust him. We've been together for 9 years and he's never given me any reason not to trust him, so I have to believe that he wouldn't start now. I let him know that blowing off my feelings or concerns was unacceptable and I will not pt up with it. I don't think there's anything else I can do at this point, I just have to have complete faith that he would never do anything to jeopardize our relationship.

That's a good attitude. its good that he's trying to make compromises. however the stripper CAn be cancelled. He isn't stuck. that's my opinion. I'm glad you talked about it. it seems like you worked it out. Best of luck! He won't do anything to hurt you.

Just trust him...
Honestly I don't think you should even try to find out what happend. Trust that nothing did, and forget about the night...

Re: disappointed in FH

FH and I talked about this thread last night. His take on it was, if you trust your FH why do you care what his friends do?

My take on it was, if it is something that the FW doesn't want, why can't the FH respect her feelings?

Then my FH said he'd be annoyed b/c it would seem like the FW didn't trust him.

I can see that point, but when its a bach party sometimes the bach has very little say in what goes on TO HIM.

I'm interested now to see what kind of party takes place for my FH. Private 'strippers' =

Personally, strippers don't bother me - I know I'm in the minority here. As someone said, most guys talk a good game but when it's right there they get kind of shy.

But I understand why some people are uncomfortable.

What I would be pissed about is that you agreed not to have them and his response about it. That's not cool!!
