Re: Disney hotels
I highly recommend the disney's boardwalk hotel or the beach & yatch club. They are all located around a boardwalk which is so great to have to walk down stairs at night to take a stroll. They have little bakeries, treat shops, resturants, and disney stores right outside of your hotel. The pool at the beach& yatch club is also absolutly amazing! It is like a lazy river w/a sand bottom... the pool strolls around 1/2 the board walk. These hotels are also about a 5 minute walk to epcot... or you can take the ferry (which is about a 3 min. walk) to epcot or a few other disney locations. Def. my fav! I have stayed there once and I am going back again in July.
I've been to disney so many times, if you have anymore questions FM me! :)
I also love the polynsian & floridian. The floridian is gorgous and polynsian makes you feel like you are on a tropical island. Plus there is music playing when you go underwater in their pool! :) They are both hooked up to the monorail which is fantastic! Good Luck!!

Re: Disney hotels
It depends on what you like and your budget. Check out the Disney web site they have virtual tours for most of the hotels.
My fav is Animal Kingdom Lodge since I am obsessed with African wildlife, however its out of my budget so we went with the Port Orleans Riverside. We picked this one cause FH loves Cajun food and culture.

Re: Disney hotels
it depends on how much you want to spend... we always stay at the 'moderate' resorts.. they are all lovely ... DH and I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside for our HM and we loved it! we also stayed at the Coronado springs.. also very nice!
we opt to stay in the Moderate hotels becaue we are never in the rooms.. and they are all nice !!

Re: Disney hotels
If you are looking for a moderate...we stayed at Coronado springs in september and loved it. It doesn't have many kiddies and is very romantic. We went off-season and got out room for literally $100 a night. it was awesome. the pool is great too.
growing up we stayed at the grand floridian and yacht club which are also beautiful! good luck and have fun!

You took the words out of my mouth. I REALLY love the Polynesian, but that is because I love the Hawaiian tropical scenery. Whenever we went with my entire family, we always stayed at the Yacht Club. It is a very classy and beautiful hotel...plus the boardwalk right there.

We r staying in the Wilderness Lodge. It just looks cool and a lot of people have said it is really beautiful. It is reasonably priced.
We stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort 2 Septembers ago and it was great. Very cheap too!

Re: Disney hotels
BOARDWALK!!!!
Definately!! It isnt a magic kingdom area resort so there usually arent as MANY kids underfoot-- plus it's so close to epcot and MGM-- you could walk or take a boat to either. ANd if you walk to the front of epcot you can catch the monorail over to the MK resort area!
Plus there's nightlife right there-- it is my ABSOLUTE fav-- I've stayed there a bunch of times- FM me for more info!
ps- FH thinks I'm nuts because although we booked a dream honeymoon-- I am excited for it to be over so that I can start planning a trip to WDW next year!! lol

Re: Disney hotels
Wilderness Lodge! We'll be staying at the Contemporary for our 1 year - just because I've have wanted to stay there since I was little. We'll only stay there a night or two due to price, then we'll prolly stay at the Swan or Dolphin since he can get a teacher's rate (and also: Heavenly Beds!!) But the Wilderness Lodge is gorgeous and romantic, and they have a show on the water that's great to snuggle to while you watch ;) Also you take a boat to the MK, not a bus!
