Disney Restaurant Question

We're going to Disney on the first part of our honeymoon and I'm trying to make a list up of the restaurants we want to make reservations at (since we'll be able to make the reservations soon!). If you had the choice between The Brown Derby and The Sci-Fi Dine-in restaurants for lunch in Hollywood Studios, which would you pick? Thanks!

MMM Mexico in Epcot. I love San Angel.

I say if you wanna do a signature, hit up California Grill (Contemporary Resort) or Narcoossees (Grand Floridian).
I can talk all things Disney all the time lol

The whole atmosphere is cool. They play old movies and you sit in cars. Some waiters and waitresses wear roller skates.. its just really fun.

Brown Derby has better food but to be honest Sci-Fi is one of my faves. Theyre completely diff. restaurants. If you're looking for a great meal with more sophisticated food, do Brown Derby. If youre looking to have fun and get some good pasta and ribs (their ribs are sooo good).. go to sci fi. I think when it comes to Disneys signature restaurants, there are much better ones than the derby

I was going to say the same thing. The food is much better at the Brown Derby but the Sci Fi is so fun, its a cool thing to eat in little cars and watch cheesy Sci Fi flicks. The other really fun one is the 50s Prime Time Cafe. I had a blast there when the waiter made my MOH stand in the corner for being bad.

I'm a huge fan of the Sci Fi. My sister and I were just there in May for lunch. My mom and I wanted to go when we went in November, but we couldn't get lunchtime reservations.

I like the Brown Derby but I really don't think that it's everything that it's cracked up to be. Also, I think it's much better for dinner than for lunch.

By the way, are you doing the Disney Dining Plan? It's a tremendous savings!

i would definately go to the sci-fi !!!

my other favorite is Canada in Epcot... best food ever !!!

here's a list to all the dining in disney !!!

I love 'em all in Epcot! Mexico, the Nine Dragons in China, the Japanese Teppinyaki (sp?) Grill, the Bistro in France, the Biergarten in Germany..... I always try to stay in the Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach Club so I can walk over every night for dinner.

Also, Victoria & Alberts in the Grand Floridian, California Grill in the Contemporary, Flying Fish Cafe at the Boardwalk are all delish!

In addition, all of the restaurants in Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney are really good too. The Fulton Crab House is one of my new favorites - went for the first time in March - yummy!

(Yes, I am embarrassed to admit, I went to Disney 3 times this year)

Okay we went last year, my parents sent us as an engagement gift, I would eat in the world showcase in Epcot, they had AWESOME sushi, also we left disney property and went to Universal studios so we could have dinner at Emeril's restaurant and it was amazing, so look into that as well, theres a restaurant in the polynesian where we stayed, maybe Ohana's? also really good!!! good luck in your search, all of the places there are great!!!!

Almost forgot, our FAVORITE restaurant in downtown disney is Bongos!!!! it's so awesome!!!

the sci fi diner is so fun because you sit in cars - the tables are in the middle of these cars - and there is a big screen playing a movie and people come around to your table like you're at a drive-in! the atmosphere is much more fun and much more 'Disney' than the brown derby.it's really cool!

if i had to pick id go with ht e sci fi but i always eat lunch in the 50s prime time love that place!!

I had no idea you were such a seasoned Disney girl!!! I'm a sick Disney nerd!! We're going for 4 nights to kick off our honeymoon!! Staying at the Poly club level baby!! We got Victoria and Albert's Chef's Table res, and I'm giving him the Richard Petty Driving Experience as a wedding gift. Where did you guys stay growing up? What a great thing for a family!
