We are going to Disneyworld for our HM, we are not sure if we want to stay at the Grand Flordian, the Polynesian, or Wilderness lodge. There are big price differances between each, but we also wanted some input from people who have stayed at the resorts before we pick one. Has anyone stayed in any of these, and if so...good bad experiences?

definitely the polynesian!! omg!! haha i loved it there!! thats where we were going to stay but its too expensive for us so we're staying at port orleans the french quarter..another one of my favorites :)
I've never stayed at any of the resorts, so when we started planning we originally wanted to stay at the Polynesian. It was too expensive for us as well, so we're staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

can i just tell you how nice port orleans is...even though there are kids running around...you only hear it if your buy the pool...other than that its quiet and its really nice to walk around...its actually kind of romantic. their food court is the best also!! mmmhmm haha i can't wait now either!! haha

yes there were giraffes and zebras and all other animals outside my balcony! they also have the best restaurant i have ever been to called jiko. (at the animal kingdom lodge)

I am not crazy about staying at The Grand Floridian. They have amazing restaurants there, so I think going there to see it and have dinner there without staying there would be better.
FH and I like to hotel hop when we go to Disney, so we're going to both the Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge. We stayed in the Wilderness Lodge last time we went and it was a really nice resort. Quiet, beautiful, the rooms were nice (they have since redone them since we've been there). The Polynesian is just really romantic and we want to stay there. We've eaten dinner there and it's amazing.

Hey we are AVID disney fans we even have the disney time share....we are knows as the Disney Dorks to some haaa anyways the grand floridian is know as the nicest most luxury hotel.....we LOVE the Boardwalk and the beach club though. Both are very beautiful but a little more fun. Look into those. The Polynesian is very dark with lots of plants..not my favorite but people love it.....Hope tnhis helps. They really do a great job with all the hotels there you cant go wrong....OH yeah and we stayed in the animal kingdom lodge last time Really nice place....there are animals outside you window!! If you like that sort of thing

Agreed...my family goes every two years (12-15 adults who like to have fun) and its the only hotel that we ever stay in but I'd say that its not really romantic or HM-esque...I'd say defiantely consider this for a return trip but for your HM stick w/ one of your original choices...

it is romantic, walking along the boardwalk, eating sweets (the good candy shop!), the honeymoon suites are awesome, you're walking distance from epcot which is the most romantic park. there are definetely romantic things there

we just got back from disney this morning and FH and I went to look at the polynesian and the grand floridian to see which one to book for the HM. i loved the look of the grand floridian and thought it would be perfect for the honeymoon.
now after reading other posts im thinking about the boardwalk resort also. our main thing is the convenience of having the monorail to get around easier, but as long as the boardwalk is walking distance from epcot, that would be great too.
when we were at the grand floridian yesterday cinderella's coach was outside waiting for a bride to take her to the wedding chapel. it was so cute!
