Disposable Cameras

Disposable Cameras

I used to like the idea of putting one on each table. Now that I am getting married, I am not sure if I will. What is your opinion of them? Will you have them? Why, or why not?

Re: Disposable Cameras

I plan on getting them. I want to get a mix of color and black and whites. My brother did this at his wedding and some of the shots the guests took were really good.

i wonder what percentage of the shots turn out really good?? Is the percentage high enough so that it is worth the cost of all those cameras plus developing them??

This is my dilemma. I might want to forgo this altogether. Though this sounds like a NICE idea, I am not such a big fan of disposable cameras. I'd rather keep more of my proofs from the wedding.

That is definitely the downside to it. It is luck of the draw. Some guests get really into it and actually take pretty good shots.

it is a great idea but I am not sure I am actually going to do it...I think it is the luck of the draw on whether you get good pictures or not...But I would not want to develop 10 cameras & only receive 24 good pictures

I am definitely doing it. My friend had some really great shots from the table cameras. My only debate is how many exposures I want each camera to have. Some have 12 exposures and others have 17 (I think?).

I'm still torn on this subject but leaning towards not doing it.

Re: Disposable Cameras

what if you just dont put out a camera on every table and ask the guests to share??

I did that at my engagement party and well, the turn out was not good. Either I didnt get them back or they were a bunch of silly pictures that honestly I didnt care for.
I actually voted for them to be on table.
So, up to u. Can get costly getting them developed too.

The problem with these cameras are:
1: Many will come back 1/2 full
2. 1/2 of the pics will be lousy
3. Disposables don't have zoom

I don't have a problem paying for them if I know it's going to be worth it, but I just have a feeling that in the end that I may be disappointed.

also... now that so many people have digital cameras, it is so easy to share pictures!

Re: Disposable Cameras

It is a nice idea, but a real pain. People end up taking random stupid pics that you do not know what to do with, and the majority of disposable cameras take crappy shots that are cloudy and useless. People feel obligated to take all the pics, and you always end up with at least ten or more shots of the toilet bowl, someone's ***, or of people making retarded faces. Go for it if you are into it, I have just seen so many people's disposable shots and they all come out like this, so I am not getting them.
