I'm not sure about putting these out or not. They are cheap on ebay, but I'm wondering if you really get any good pictures as a result of these!
Any experience or input on this is much appreciated! :)

Re: disposable cameras on tables - worth it or no?
I'm not. I actually did this for my Sweet 16, and a lot of people ended up taking the cameras home

NO... my photographer and friends took so many pictures we didn't need them. Now I have a bag of cameras, mostly with 5-6 pictures taken on each on average... I have to finish the roles and pay to have them developed. Its annoying.

Before digital cameras, I'm sure it was worth it..
But now mostly everyone has their own camera's that don't leave their bags so I'm pretty sure your family & friends will take enough pics with their cameras that you won't need to have disposable ones!
And then whatever pictures you like that they take, you can just upload them onto an Flash Drive & take them to like CVS to have them printed out!

No, my friend did it and she said it was such a waste and she only got like 2 or 3 good pics from over 10 cameras. I would pass... Do something like upload your pics to shutterfly card. I did it and my wedding was a week ago and without harrassing my girls yet, I have almost 500 pics posted. I think I have a pic of my card in my album.

My MOH had cameras on her table for her wedding and she didn't get many good pics. In fact she had about a whole role of the toilets.

We did have them but we also placed out cards for our shutterfly site. We got some good pics from cameras & some ended up not even working - so it's a bit of a crapp shoot w/the cameras. Here's what we did for our shutterfly card:

ICK - I'm convinced. Not worth it.

I actually made up cards like this to share photos on photobucket. That should be good enough - I should have enough pictures to play with that way!
Thanks ladies!

This happened to me at my Sweet 16 also and I was so upset. I passed on it as well.

I've decided against them. I know every single person in my family is going to have a digital camera attached to their hand snapping away. Plus I am going to have 2 photographers, and one of my guests is a photographer (the girl who did my E-Pics) so I know she is going to be taking a lot of awesome shots.
I am also doing the Shutterfly site for guests to upload their pics to the site for us to have.

no we will not have disposable cameras on the table. i don't think they are worth it. know of days everyone has digital cameras so we set up a shutterfly account where everyone can upload their pictures. this way all of our friends & family can pick & choose which pictures they want made up. besides i think that 75% of the time kids end up with the disposable cameras & then you end up paying for pictures of peoples feet.

I'd say no...
I'm contemplating getting a polaroid or fuji instax to pass around so people can take instant photos, sign it, and put it in a guest book. There are special guest books made for this kind of thing. I believe The Knot even has one for the fuji.

Re: disposable cameras on tables - worth it or no?
I just went to an engagement party this weekend where the the future bride placed cameras on the tables with a little folded card giving us directions. It was a nice idea and since our table of people is close with her, we made sure to take pics but I am not sure if every table did. If you know you will have guests that are gonna participate, then you should go for it.

FH and I are printing cards with our photo share site on it for friends and family to upload pictures. All of my BMs are Snap-a-holics anyway... like papparazzi, I'm sure we'll be okay.

I'm not going to do this but I am creating an account on snapfish or something so my guests can upload their photos to it. I will leave a note @ each place setting w/the info.
