DIY Bouquet?

DIY Bouquet?

I was in Trader Joe's today and saw some beautiful flowers for only $5.00 and thought, WOW i wish i could use this as my bouquet....Can i just buy a bunch of flowers and put them together and make my own bouquet? i cant see spending $150 on a bouquet when i like the smaller, simpler, flowers for just $5.00 just as much. Can I just tie them together with some ribbon, or will it just fall apart?

It depends on the kinds of flowers-if you are going to use fragile flowers, I would reserach first. Certain blooms are considered more 'hardy' than others-meaning they can survive without water for awhile. I am DIYing my BMs bouqets because I wanta carefree look. Mine is being made. Just google flowers or ask a florist (not urs) which blooms during your season, are better for 'hand-tied' boquets.

just remember the fresher the flowers the better they will stay for the day.. so if you are worried about them looking wilted by the end of the day, ask someone to go out and pick them up that morning or the night before. I also heard you can keep them in the fridge and they last longer, so if you get them the night before, you could try that...
