DIY Centerpiece HELP!
So I'm literally losing sleep over making my own centerpieces. I'd love to have fresh flowers, but the logistics of making them, getting them to the venue and all without dying is getting me nervous. Please share your thoughts, experiences with live flowers.

Re: DIY Centerpiece HELP!
I am planning on DIYing my centerpieces as well. There are some great tutorials on how to do all of this online. I'm also doing my own bouquets and everything else. The most important thing is to keep them watered. Keeping them in the fridge is not the most important, but a nice bonus.
I like this site for bouquets: http://apracticalwedding.com/2011/04/how-to-make-a-wedding-bouquet/
I like looking at examples from Blooms by the Box(http://www.bloomsbythebox.com/) and Fifty Flowers (http://www.fiftyflowers.com/). Some of these places even have ready made centerpieces, if you are nervous about it. They also have lots of information on their sites about the care to give to these flowers.
I would also talk to your venue. See if you can bring it in early or what they will do for you. I spoke to my venue and all I have to do is label everything, provide pics (if I want) and they will set it all up. You can also designate someone (not in your bridal party, but someone you trust), to make sure everything looks right when you get there.

Thanks! I'm looking at BJs for the bulk flowers. Will you be using floral foam? I'm reading up on it and feel better

DIY Centerpiece HELP!
I haven't decided yet. I'm looking to just put flowers in wine bottles, various vases and tin cans, so I don't think I'll need floral foam.I'm also looking at Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's as well for my flowers. I plan to do really simple greenery with baby's breath, maybe succulents, roses. And if any of my flowers from my garden happen to pop up before the wedding, I plan to cut those and use those too.

This is a little off topic but have you received quotes from Burtons or Hidden Essence or are you set on doing them yourself? I only ask because we are doing very simple centerpieces and it was so cheap that it made more sense for us to pay someone so we were not stressed.
