Did anyone print the address on you evelopes themselves? How difficult is it to do? Ive heard stories of tons of ruin evelopes trying to get it right. I have square invitations.

Re: DIY Envelope Printing
I did it myself. I've done it several times for friends of mine and I did my own and they came out great (if I do say so myself). I did it through wordperfect/quattro pro as a merge document. I picked a font and ran it through my laser printer. I also had square invitations and had no problems.
I'm used to doing mail merges for work so it was easy for me. Although I HATE using word - I'm a wordperfect girl and it was super-easy.
One helpful hint: I cut out several templates on plain paper first to make sure I had the centering, etc. correct.

Re: DIY Envelope Printing
Thanks. I mail merged word/excel for my save the date labels, so I am hoping I can do the envelopes. Do you know if I need to download an envelope template?

Re: DIY Envelope Printing
I'm not sure about it in word.
I know in wordperfect I didn't do an 'envelope' template. I basically just created a new paper type with the dimensions of my envelope. I know the merge feature works differently in word though.

Re: DIY Envelope Printing
I just did this for all my STDs. It was so easy!!! I did it in publisher though and the only issues was I had to physically type every single address in but I really only wasted about 2 envelops. Just make sure if you decide to use publisher that you put the correct size of the envelop in the measurements.

Re: DIY Envelope Printing
it was super easy BUT time consuming because you have to sit there and feed the envelopes to the printer one at a time

Re: DIY Envelope Printing
FH and I did it ourselves. At first it was a bit challenging because I took me a while to figure out how to get it since I wanted to have the return address on the flap, so it had to be written upside down. I had never used publisher before, but once I figured it out it was not bad at all. We ruined 2 or 3 envelopes, but I expected to loose a few in the process. I am not sure if it makes a difference with square envelopes. You just have to make sure you get the measurements right I guess. Good luck!
