DIY how could I make ..

I love the cake stand dividers. They are so expensive to buy. I know I could buy a rhinestone ribbon but what would I use as the actual stand?

DIY how could I make ..

is it an actual stand dividing the cake or is the rindstone band actually on cake (which would be removed to cut the cake obviously).

DIY how could I make ..

The layer with rhinestones may be styrofoam with a thin layer of fondant or buttercream on it before wrapping the rhinestones around it.

Or it could be directly on the cake, like other forms of cake jewelry its removed before cutting.

It is a stand because when I click on the link on pinterest it brings me to a page where they are selling it. It is meant to make the cake larger than what is really is.

I like this idea. I will bring it up to the bakery.
