I am looking to order the paper to make my invitations, and I am wondering what weight to get. The metallic paper comes in an 80# text weight, and a 105# cover weight.
Will the 80# be thick enough for the invite and inserts, or should I go with the 105# card stock?
Also, for those who have used the card stock, will a home printer work with it, or will it be too thick of paper for printing at home for the RSVP, Direction and accommodation cards?
Thanks in advance.

IMO, the thicker the paper, the better...but I'm thinking you might have some trouble with printing on 105 at home...

Re: DIY invitation paper weight question
my concern is we like the metallic paper, which the 105# card stock is 246g/m, not sure if my printer can handle it. I was wondering if anyone had tried it with that weight on a home printer

Re: DIY invitation paper weight question
I am using #80 metallic text weight paper for the interior pages of my programs...it's thick and fancy for text paper, but I wouldn't necessarily use it for invitation cards. I've been using plain white cardstock for my favor tags and for the mat on the program covers, but it's not very heavy, so fine in the printer, but not sure if any heavier (I want to say also #80?) would work.
