DIY Memorial Candle

I am making a memorial candle...
I try to be crafty, but unless it's relatively easy, i'm not so good at it! I am envisioning fairly plain writing with the names of the people who have passed... what type of paper do i use and where do i get it? how to i get it to stick to the candle? anything else i should add?

TIA!

Okay when I made my Unity Candle this is what I got
The Candles
I got Vellum paper (the clear-ish paper you can get it at Michaels)
1 piece of scrap book paper for some 'decoration'
a glue gun

Making it is fairly simple, you just have to have patients I think to make sure everything is even

i have a picture of mine in my pro-pics album. it was really easy. all you need is vellum and the candle you like.

just make sure that you get the kind of vellum for your printer.

i used printer paper for my candle.
I made sure I selected a tall pillar candle that I could place the paper farther down at the center so it could burn. Imade a unity candle doing this. So listing names will be a lot shorter than using the wording for the invitations. Tacky glue also holds good without using a hot glue gun which may melt the candle. Use a low temp glue gun though, if you go that route.

thanks. it was really easy!

just remember what i said: make sure that the vellum is the right kind for your printer, or else it will smear.

good luck. can't wait to see the finished product

i'm making our Unity candle. It's very VERY simple. I am using Vellium paper to print the message on, and then I'm cutting it in an oval and using push pins (pretty ones) I am attaching it to the candle

You buy Vellum paper, and Vellum tape. Both are in expensive. I made mine this morning. Pics to follow once FH gets home to upload the pics. It's VERY easy to do. Just take your time.
