Do you feel that you saved money when doing your DIY projects or would you have been better off purchasing them??
i enjoy projects so i don't mind doing them myself
I did my e-party invites myself and they cost me a lot less then buying them. I bought the paper and made the invites online.
So far i've made our Eparty invites, EParty favors, and Save the Dates ourselves. We've definitely saved money on everything....especially if you're having a large wedding.....you have to pay for the extra invites, STDs, Favors, etc.....
i did my own eparty invites too. costed way less than having them printed. but im a big DIY'r so i know that it really depends on the project. if its too complicated and your doing it by yourself it could take much more time, effort, and money than simply buying it. and theres no guarantee you will love it. the key really is to purchase enough premade stuff that you wont have to many steps in putting the final product together. if you have too many tedious steps youre probably better off buying the product (if possible). hope that helps!
Definitely save money and you don't have to deal with those who nickle and dime everything. Whatever you want customize it can be done because you did it yourself, it just requires alot of time.
I am a little bit of a worry wart I guess. I am starting to make myself crazy. Well thanks for all the great advice. I will definitely keep it in mind.
It really depends. I like doing the projects and it is so relaxing. Sometimes I do think it would be cheaper to just buy things, but it is fun to personalize everything and put special finishing touches on them.
I definitely think it is a way to save a little bit of $ but I think it's more about personally adding to the details of your wedding. FH thinks we should spend the extra money for someone else to do the invites, place cards, petal cones ect. because he thinks it will stress me out but I want to be able to personalize our wedding.
Save a ton of money on our diy save the date magnets (it was free), but the favors and decorations im doing for e-party, i couldn't buy. So don't know if we saved money there.
I stuggle with this all the time. I have so little free time as it is, I wonder if saving a few bucks is worth it. I have decided to do the things myself that I will save the most on or that mean the most and then buy the rest. But that's just me! Also, since I live in Vegas, I have to consider how to get everything to NY, shipping costs money too!
