DJ Question
Hey Ladies,Are any of you adding lights onto your DJ package? I'm just wondering how neccessary this is. I personal love the all white light up booth with towers and all that jazz. But our venue is not very modern or clubby so I'm scared that's not going to work there. But I'm worried the room will look sad without the blinking light show. FH is not into the lights at all, and we already have the uplighting so that will add a little something. What do you guys think? Yay or nay to the light package?

DJ Question
Our DJ package comes with a basic lighting package. I think they're called intelligent lights? I'm not positive. Its two stands and they blink to the beat of the music. Our venues are sort of similar...being mansions and all... so I don't think it would be TOO much to have some lights blinking. I also don't know the set up of your venue, but for mine the dinner space is sort of separated from the dance floor which is nice. I'm not sure if we're doing uplighting yet but we are having a TON of candles all over the place.

DJ Question
Ours came with 4 of those truss lighting things. It didn't look the same without them. I would definitely do it if I were you! I think it just adds a little something!

DJ Question
We weren't planning to use any lighting but after the DJ showed up videos of weddings at our venue with and without lighting we added on the basic wall uplights for around the room. Once the sun went down it would have very dark and our pics would have looked weird without it. Hopefully it will be worth the small investment!

DJ Question
If you have uplighting, I kind of feel like it is not absolutely necessary-- not to say that it wouldn't look awesome. Maybe that is something you can negotiate with your DJ, if he throws it in, why not! If he doesn't, it wasn't meant to be.

DJ Question
I'm doing a lit DJ booth and uplighting. We're not doing the 'intelligent lighting' because of a personal preference. FH and I both don't like the club vibe with flashing lights.

DJ Question
I'm not having any lighting at all bc it's a daytime wedding with lots of windows but I've been wondering if we SHOULD have up lighting? While we are on the topic...

The only reason I'm doing uplighting is because we're having an evening wedding and our room is pretty dark if unlit (dark wood) with a low ceiling. I wanted something to brighten it up. I personally think natural light makes any room beautiful and I'm not sure if the uplighting would be noticable enough to justify the expense? You can't go wrong either way, but you might be able to save some $ without the uplighting.

ITA! I love the way natural light looks at a daytime wedding! No uplighting necessary.

DJ Question
Thanks Girls! I decided I do need a little something in addition to the uplighting. How much, I'm not. I guess that will just depend on our budget.

some DJ's don't even offer a lighting package if its a daytime wedding :)
I think natural light inside will be GORGEOUS <3
