I recommend meeting with Starlight Express in Mineola. I met with them and Body Rock and felt I got more for my money with Starlight Express and my parents liked Vinny, the owner. He is very low key and you can use him as your dj. I too did not want any giveaways. I think this is tacky too.

I need a DJ still for my wedding. I am very specific about what I want and don't want.I'm looking for a DJ for 4 hours. I want to be able to give the a list of songs that I want played, and likewise, a list of songs that will not be played. I don't want a lot of talking and I DO NOT want any giveaways...no blow up toys or leis or toys or smoke machines or anything like that. I just want a really classy, professional DJ. I know that this is demanding, but I don't want anything remotly cheesey. Does anyone know of a good fit?

I second that!!

I recommend Tom from Spin Around Sound. He will put your songs on a CD and even take pictures at your wedding and send them to you... a little value-added.

He is really nice and does not lean towards the cheesy stuff unless you want it.

I really recommend meeting with him. He's great!
