The past week's weather has been miserable throughout much of the Northeast making for rather poor foliage viewing. A nearly stationery low pressure system off the Atlantic coast has been to blame for the recent soggy weather. However, that system is beginning to move to east and the weather is expected to improve in the next couple of days.

The color in much of northern New England, northern New York, the Southern Tier of New York and northern Pennsylvania is high to peak. In other areas of the region, the color change is low to moderate.

Leaf drop is low to moderate throughout the region.

I was hoping for more color

the trees by me are late to turn, but they're turning! the rain and extended hot weather (IMO) pushed it back by a week or 2.

don't be sad. we'll have nice foliage in 2 1/2 weeks (OMG!)

if anything, I am mad that's it's so damn windy out! that's blowing the leaves off the trees

i am too freakin excited for this!!!!!!

im loving this!!!! im so calm im scaring myself!!

But you were right...the rain messed it all up.

You still have a few weeks - I'm sure by then (your weddings! ) there will be gorgeous brown/red leaves!

I prayed and prayed and prayed on Sunday for the wind to STOP!!!!

I guess Peacock didn't have an outdoor ceremony...poor thing would have blown away.
Speaking of Peacock...who was it that went to her wedding...we need pics!
