So FW is going for hair and makeup trials in the very ``near'' future. Mind you that I'm particular and say it like is.
Do I give my honest opinion on what I think or just shut my trap? I'm curious to know what Brides think and what they would want to hear from their FH.

If you can tell that she absolutely loves it, but you think it's so-so but bearable - don't pretend you love it, but don't bash it. You could take the angle that it looks great but your eyes are so beautiful already, you don't need that much eye makeup.
If she seems unsure, then be honest, but in a sweet way, such as you're always beautiful, but you look nicer with a pinker blush ...
JMO, but I have an FH that is brutally honest to the point where he'll tell me if something makes me look 'bloated' as he likes to put it, so I'm always looking for a softer way to tell the truth.

My FH would usually give me the truth.. like if I ask him if he liked something and he says, 'it's ok'.. it really means that he could pass on it.. if your FW knows how to read you, no matter what you say, she will know the truth anyway!!!!

Definitley give your honest opinion. I know I would want my FH to give me his. If he didn't like my hair/makeup I would want him to tell me so I don't do it for that day.

Alex cant lie too me...if i look like crap and he says oh baby u look great....i can read right through him! So he knows to be honest!!

Honestly I think most women will say they want an honest opinon but the truth of the matter is no matter what your answer will be. Your FW will go ask her female friends what they think regardless of your opinion. We as women don't think that men understand or appreciate fashion, make-up. JMO-

I definately want an honest answer ALWAYS! But....sometimes Darren answers with little inklings that he forinstance, 'isn't sure of the color on me' . Does it feel like a kick in the @ss, sure it does, but he just wants me to look my best I suppose. I don't think he would ever steer me wrong, and if anything, his opinion matters the most!!!
